A slicer feature that smooths top surfaces by running the hot nozzle over them.

Ironing passes the hot nozzle over top surfaces with minimal extrusion, melting and smoothing the surface for a glossy finish.

Settings

  • Ironing Flow: 10-15% (just enough to fill gaps)
  • Ironing Speed: 20-40mm/s
  • Ironing Spacing: Line spacing for pattern

Best For

  • Flat top surfaces
  • Name plates and signs
  • Visible horizontal surfaces

Limitations

  • Adds print time
  • Only works on flat tops
  • Can cause artifacts if poorly tuned
