The solid horizontal layers that form the bottom surface of a print.

Bottom layers are the solid layers at the base of a print, between the first layer and the infill.

  • Standard: 4-5 layers
  • Structural parts: 5-7 layers
  • Decorative only: 3 layers

Purpose

  • Creates solid base
  • Seals bottom of infill
  • Provides structural foundation
