Bottom Layers
Also known as: Bottom Solid Layers, Bottom Shell
The solid horizontal layers that form the bottom surface of a print.
Bottom layers are the solid layers at the base of a print, between the first layer and the infill.
Recommended Values
- Standard: 4-5 layers
- Structural parts: 5-7 layers
- Decorative only: 3 layers
Purpose
- Creates solid base
- Seals bottom of infill
- Provides structural foundation
